title: “CNCB Offline Mortgage Prepayment” tags: [] slug: ‘6450633’ date: 2025-03-07 20:11:24
I’ve always used CNCB’s app to book mortgage prepayments. The rule there is: no pending prepayment and a 30‑day advance reservation. I saw talk that offline prepayment might bypass the 30‑day wait, so I tried it — and it worked. Here’s what I did.

First try: ask the loan manager about offline prepayment
The manager said offline also requires 30 days — no early prepayment.
File a complaint via 12378
Call 12378 to file a complaint. CNCB will contact you. Clearly state your request: offline prepayment without waiting 30 days.
Process for offline prepayment
- Go to the designated branch and take a number.
- Bring your
ID card. - Must be a
business day.
- Bring your
- At the counter, state your request. If they insist on a 30‑day reservation, say you’ve already filed a 12378 complaint and are dissatisfied. They will provide an application form.
- Fill out the form; staff will submit it for manager approval.
- The prepayment amount only needs to be greater than your monthly payment; it does not need to be in ten‑thousand increments.
- After approval, deduction can happen the same day. The app will show a new prepayment request as “processing”; wait for the deduction.
- I hit a snag: Friday after 4pm I was told “approved”, but deduction didn’t happen until Monday. The explanation was vague — likely someone forgot to process. Annoying, but the extra interest was small, so I let it go.
Final Thoughts
Regardless of others’ views on prepayment, I simply dislike owing money and paying interest. If you can afford it, keep prepaying. After two years, my bank loan is almost cleared; I’m down to about a hundred yuan per month — no pressure.
